Are you an experienced physician ready to take the next step in your career? WorkSafeBC is looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking Chief Medical Officer to provide strategic leadership for the direction of medical care of injured workers. In this role, you’ll foster strategic partnerships with stakeholders to minimize the toll of workplace injury, deliver oversight for best practice health care and professional practice, and elevate WorkSafeBC in occupational medicine within British Columbia and across Canada.

Upholding a strong focus on education, engagement, and evidence-based practices is fundamental to ensuring the highest quality of care.

 

We are looking to attract an exceptional medical professional looking for an incredible opportunity to elevate WorkSafeBC in occupational medicine within British Columbia and across Canada. The ideal candidate for Chief Medical Officer is an experienced physician, registered with and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, who will provide leadership for the medical care of injured workers through the delivery of best practice health care, oversight for professional practice, and strategic partnerships.

The Chief Medical Officer serves as the guardian of these values, ensuring that the well-being and interests of injured workers remain the focal point of all medical endeavors at WorkSafeBC.

 

The targeted salary range for this position is $257,650 - $285,497 annually (pro-rated based on part-time status of 0.5 – 0.8), supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
