  • 20-Nov-2020
  • 21-Nov-2020
  • Virtual Conference

Our friends at the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto are hosting an online Symposium and invite you to join them on November 20th and 21st to discuss anesthesia and pain medicine services in rural and remote regions of Canada. This event is geared towards anesthesia care providers who work in rural settings.

Anesthesia Care and Pain Medicine in Rural and Remote Regions in Canada Symposium

Our country is large and diverse, encompassing 10 million square kilometres. Approximately 21% of Canadians live in rural Canada, yet only 9.4% of physicians work in rural communities. Clinical practice can be challenging as the disease burden is greater, and outcomes are poorer in rural populations.  We seek to better train and support, deploy and retain anesthesia care providers who work in rural settings.

November 20, 4:00pm to 7:00pm     |    November 21, 9:00am to 3:00pm

Event Location: Online

On behalf of Drs. Beverley Orser and Ruth Wilson, they invite you to attend the first symposium on Anesthesia Care and Pain Medicine in Rural and Remote Regions of Canada to be held virtually. For more details please visit:
