we can only accept new registrations on a waiting list basis. Those already registered or have already placed a deposit are unaffected by this. There are still a few spots left in some of the pre and post courses and priority will be given for Rural and Remote 2012 to anyone enrolling in one of these courses. You may continue and indicate your interest in attending and we will notify you when space beocmes available before processing any charges.

CARE – COMPREHENSIVE APPROACHES TO RURAL EMERGENCIES This is a two day course for physicians, nurses and paramedics providing hands-on learning in a fun, warm and supportive environment.  Medical, trauma, paediatric and obstetric management are featured.  By, for and with rural practitioners.

ALARM – 2 DAY INTENSIVE COURSE Review, update. Upon completion, participants will understand how to improve the outcomes and processes of intrapartum and immediate postpartum care; includes case-based plenary sessions, hands-on workshops and a comprehensive examination process.

ATLS – 2 DAY COURSE – ADVANCED TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT Teaches a systematic, concise approach to the early care of the trauma patient. ATLS course training provides a common language that can save lives in critical situations.

SHOCK – 1 DAY INTENSIVE COURSE The Shock Course is designed specifically for physicians who work in rural settings. Its mandate is to equip you with the skills necessary to diagnose and treat the hemodynamically unstable patient in the rural ER.

Registration information these pre, concurrent or post courses are on the back of the main course registration form. The GP Surgery Day is open to all those with an interest in GP Surgery and you may register for it alone or as part of the Rural and Remote Course. All of the courses have limted registration capacity and are being offered as a service/convenience to those attending Rural and Remote. Registration priority will be given to those attending Rural and Remote.
